Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Unawatuna, Rock House offers a peaceful retreat with surprisingly spacious rooms and good vibes. We enjoyed our stay as a group of six, basking in the lovely elevated views from our balcony—it felt like our own little sanctuary overlooking the vibrant bay. While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, we loved the proximity to local eateries, making it easy to explore different breakfast options, whether we craved a continental start or something more local. Although it’s basic, the private bathrooms and ample room to spread out made our stay quite comfortable. Adventure seekers will appreciate the short stroll to the beach, just ten minutes away, and the slightly longer trek to Jungle Beach—perfect for a casual day of exploring. While it may not cater to every luxury, Rock House captures the essence of island charm with its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a solid choice for those looking to blend comfort with budget-friendly options.
